People in Park Slope have been pretty upset about the graffiti in their neighborhood. This person in Cleveland, however, thought it wasn't so bad and sent us a picture. Thanks. To those (many) of you who have been filling up my mailbox with hate mail:

1. I'm not going to go scrub your personal street corner clean.
   
2. It may be that there are pictures of graffiti on this web site, but that doesn't mean I wrote it or I know who did. In fact, I was walking down my street the other day and saw "No More Prisons" spray painted on the sidewalk and I had no idea who had done it.
   
3. We're not promoting the web site so the book can make money. The book is a benefit for the Soft Skull Press and The Active Element Foundation. It makes no money. The web site makes no money, in fact it has cost me quite a bit of money.
   

That answers most of the "concerns" that people have been directing towards me. I wonder why it is that out of all the neighborhoods in the country that have had "No More Prisons" written on the sidewalks I've only heard from Park Slope?
